Murda Mook took to Twitter late last night, August 23rd, to announce to the world that a battle between him and one of YMCMB's finest, Drake, could go down in the near future.  He broke the news via Instagram, when he uploaded a picture of him standing before Drake inside of a club, reminiscent of the picture that Joe Budden and Hollow Da Don posted to the social media site which sparked all of the interest in their battle occurring.

In the picture, Drake appears to be talking "greasy" to Mook, while Mook stood with a stone face staring back at him.  In the caption, Mook stated, "So this is @champagnepapi telling me he wants to battle me. And he is actually serious! Who got the check?"

Since he made the announcement, Battle Rap fans have been going nuts over the thought of actually seeing Drake exchange bars in the lyrical ring against one of the true pioneers of the sport.  Many have been praising Mook for potentially becoming the first battler to receive a six figure paycheck, if not a solid million dollars, if his battle comes to fruition. Others of course, have been actively debating the possible winner in this lyrical clash, with many siding with Mook, while others believe Drake has what it takes to succeed in the ring.

Check out Murda Mook's announcement and fan reactions above.

Mook also stated that Fabolous expressed an interest in battling, but that he would need some conditioning before he actually steps into the ring to compete.  Look out for news regarding Fabolous' entry into Battle Rap in the near future.
