Jennifer Hudson's half-brother Steven Simpson is currently locked up in Paw Paw, Michigan, after allegedly stabbing a man in the face who was believed to be involved in an intimate relationship with his estranged wife. He is currently facing charges of attempted murder and home invasion.
The violent attack is very similar to a truly tragic one that previously occurred involving the Hudson family. Not too long ago, Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother, and nephew were all murdered by her sister Julia's ex-boyfriend William Balfour, after he became jealous of her relationship with her new boyfriend.
Jennifer Hudson has yet to comment on her half-brother's situation.
