The idea of "acting" like a certain race has always been a controversial subject, with celebs such as Katy Perry, Madonna and Justin Bieber all being accused of appropriating African-American culture for profit over the years.

Country/Pop princess Taylor Swift is the latest celeb catching heat for trying to "act black" in her new music video for "Shake It Off," and while some have come to her defense saying she's having fun with "Hip-Hop dance" (as she also shows examples of ballet, contemporary dance, and ribbon twirlers), others, including Odd Future member Earl Sweatshirt are saying it perpetuates harmful, negative racial stereotypes.
