Mariah Carey & producer Jermaine Dupri have a very long musical history. Making hits from "Always Be My Baby" to "We Belong Together," the two have been a very successful pair in the studio.

Unfortunately, Dupri's turn as Mimi's manager didn't pan out the way they expected, with her last project, "Me. I Am Mariah...The Elusive Chanteuse" flopping, selling just 100,000 copies since its May 23rd release. JD recently revealed to Billboard that the two have decided to part ways, but will continue to work together in the one way they know how, musically.

"I'm a very hands-on person when it comes to my work. I put my all into every project. But when I'm not allowed to do what I do, then I know it's time for me to move on. Mariah and I enjoy working together and will continue to make great music together in the future."

Are you surprised the two are calling it quits? Sound off below.
