Kanye West made some very bold statements during the deposition for his assault case in which he was accused of attacking a photographer and busting up his camera.  In the transcript acquired by TMZ, 'Ye went off on various topics and ripped the photog's lawyer, Nate Goldberg, for representing "scum" in order to make money.

"I'm in the business of trying to make dope s**t for the world," Kanye told Mr. Goldberg.  "You're in the business of representing scums and trying to make as much money as long as there's this lapse in the law."

He also checked Nate for using the n-word while reciting the lyrics to his "Flashing Lights" song, in which Kanye rapped about paparazzi hounding him for pictures.  "You have to ask for a hall pass," Kanye said to Nate.  "You can't just say the 'n' word around me.  It offends me because you're a white person saying 'ni**a.'  I mean in the '60s people used to hold up 'Die N****r' signs when my parents were in the sit-ins also."

Mr. Goldberg then asked Kanye if he considers the struggles that black people endured during the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s to be similar to the struggles that celebrities face in their lives presently, and Kanye replied:

"Yes 100 ... I equate it to discrimination.  I equate it to inequalities."

At one point, Kanye boasted about his level of intelligence being far beyond the average celebrity.  "I'm the smartest celebrity you've ever f*cking dealt with.  I'm not Briney Spears," he said. Kanye also gave a witty reply to Mr. Goldberg when asked where he lived, simply answering, "Earth."
