Last week, it was reported that "Scandal" star and new mom Kerry Washington called out superstar singer Beyonce for not empowering young African-American women and instead serving as a bad influence who sells sex. The anonymous source told Dish Nation that Kerry "hates how Beyonce relies on her body and sexual innuendo to sell records."
"Kerry thinks Beyonce should spend less time shaking her booty and more time pushing other agendas, like the value of education and healthy eating, as well as promoting book reading." Kerry also reportedly called out Bey for "reveling in rumors about her private life is, at best, cheesy, and, at worst, dangerous."
As Washington definitely has a different persona than that of the Queen Bey, many were shocked by the rumors of Kerry putting Beyonce on blast. This weekend, Washington shut down the alleged statements with a simple photo on Instagram of a hospitality pass for Beyonce and Jay-Z's current "On the Run" tour, along with the caption "#OTR Can. Not. Wait"
