Adrienne Bailon has responded to the Kardashians in a lengthy Instagram post.

The singer's issues with the family began when excerpts of an interview with Latina magazine hit the net Tuesday.

In the interview, she mentions her former relationship with Rob Kardashian, and how it affected her career. She also talked about how she decided to remove her "Rob" tattoo.

After KimKhloe, and Kourtney came to their brother's defense on Twitter, Bailon's best friend, Julissa Bermudez, snapped back with a few tweets about Kim's claim to fame.

Bailon has decided to defend her statements and career on Instagram.

The singer wrote Thursday afternoon, "Fame and Career are two different things. I've always had a career. I have been working hard since I was 15 years old. Being someone's "girlfriend" is something I never wanted to be famous for."

She also directed her next statement on the labels Kim Kardashian has been known for  since Kim's success is connected to her infamous sex tape with Ray J.

"What makes you "famous" isn't always what you want to be "labeled" as, or known for. If anyone should understand that... it should be you."

Bailon also mentioned that she never threw Rob under the bus, but simply discussed their relationship.
