After six long years the wait is finally over, for beloved Bronx rapper Remy Ma was released from prison today, Thursday, July 31st.  Remy managed to get her initial 8-year sentence cut down to 6, after she was imprisoned back in 2008 for shooting a former female friend who stole thousands of dollars from her.  During her incarceration her husband Papoose has been actively supporting her by visiting her as often as possible, and also frequently posted pictures of her on his Instagram account to make sure the public doesn't forget about this powerful female force in the roster of mainstream Hip-Hop artists.

According to reports from Hot 97, Remy was released from the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women in New York around 8 a.m. today.  The love was in full bloom as Remy was greeted by her husband Papoose, her manager Nelson, and a group of her friends all waiting outside of the penitentiary in a variety of luxurious cars.

Much like it was the case with Lil Boosie's freedom, "Remy Ma" and #RemyHome have become popular trending topics on Twitter, as she's been shown loads of love from both celebrities and general fans for her return.

Check out some of the many tweets in the above slide welcoming Remy Ma home after six long years.  Hopefully we'll be able to hear some new music from her soon, and we all know that the doors are open for her to join the most renowned female battle league in the world, QOTR.  How do you think Remy Ma will affect the current state of Hip-Hop and possibly Battle Rap if she chooses to join the movement?
