Matt Barnes pleaded with his online followers to help locate the man he believed brutally murdered his aunt last week, and thanks to his efforts the suspect has been apprehended. Michael Williams, the estranged ex-husband of the victim, was arrested in Sacramento after a concerned citizen tipped off authorities.

According to TMZ, police believe Williams is a transient, and when his ex-wife went to pay him a visit he became violent, stabbing her to death.

Matt spoke to TMZ after Williams was caught, telling them, "We are so grateful to everyone who helped us -- from spreading the word thru social media to calling the Sacramento PD with your citizen tips. It was a citizen tip that led police to Michael Williams' very location late this morning. Thank you again for allowing me to be my auntie's voice and to help bring this suspect in. Also, thank you to the Sac PD!"

He also tweeted about the arrest and doled out many thanks to everyone involved. Check out the messages in the above slide.
