Common just dropped his 10th album, Nobody's Smiling, to great reviews. However, fellow Chi-town spitter Kanye West's presence was noticeably absent, leading many to believe Com and Yeezy have parted ways. Well, the man himself just confirmed on MTV's Rap Fix that he is no longer a part of G.O.O.D Music.

While Common shouts out Yeezy on the album, and confirms the two are still "family," the "Blak Majik" rapper explained that Kanye's focus was elsewhere this time around, which he understood as West just got hitched and is still getting used to fatherhood. In short, West couldn't make the album a priority, so Com decided to move on.

Common instead had longtime friend and super producer No. I.D. executive produce the album and put it out under his imprint Artium/Def Jam.

Do you think Common will do just as well after leaving the G.O.O.D. Music umbrella? Sound off below.
