During a quick Q&A with Hot 107.5 in Detroit, T.I. finally addressed rumors that he's ghostwritten for Grand Hustle first lady Iggy Azalea; rumors that have been swirling for a while and became even more prominent after Nicki Minaj's anti-ghostwriter speech at the 2014 BET Awards, where many viewers assumed she was referencing the "Fancy" rapper.

When it comes to Iggy's pen game, Tip says he has nothing to do with it:

"I ain't no ghostwriter. Iggy got her own ideas and thoughts that she presents to the world her own way. I couldn't write a lot of the sh*t she say, you know? I couldn't put her thoughts into words as articulate as she does. She just has a different way of presenting herself and her art."

He does admit that they collaborate when it comes to certain aspects of songwriting, but that applies to most MCs:

"Don't get me wrong, everyone in the studio helps with hooks and certain things like that but that goes for me and any of the other top 5 [rappers]."

When asked if he considers himself Iggy's mentor, Tip laughs at the thought but ends up accepting the role.

"If Iggy can have a mentor, I guess, yeah, I'd be the closest thing to it [laughs].
