Wu-Tang affiliate Shyheim Franklin has pled guilty to manslaughter stemming from a fatal hit-and-run on New Year's Day.
According to SI Live, the rapper was also charged with weapon possession charges from an April 2013 arrest.
Franklin ran a stop sign in New Brighton, Staten Island last year in the early hours of New Year's Day when he hit 29-year-old bakery worker Avila Olea. Police were able to determine Franklin as the culprit from his blood and watch he left at the scene.
Before being released on $500,000 bail, the rapper took to YouTube to request help for his legal fees.
Under both charges, Shyheim is facing 7 years for gun possession, and 4 to 14 years for manslaughter.
Franklin will be sentenced on August 21.
