Rock artist and legendary songwriter Linda Perry has penned hits for everyone from Celine Dion to Christina Aguilera to Pink to Solange Knowles. It seems, however, that Solange's big sis may have some explaining to do, as the revered songwriter recently called out Queen Bey for taking writing credit on songs she had little or nothing to do with lyrically.

Perry believes Knowles and other similar artists take songwriter credit (and the money that comes along with it) because they feel if it weren't for their popular name, the actual songwriter's material wouldn't get heard. She expressed as much in a recent Reddit AMA:

"Thats not songwriting but some of these artists believe if it wasnt for them your song would never get out there so they take a cut just because they are who they are. but everyone knows the real truth even Beyonce. She is talented but in a completely different way."

Beyonce has gone on record in the past claiming she wrote her hit "Irreplaceable," telling Marie Claire "I'm sure people think I wrote it about [Jay-Z] or something, but... the obvious person is not the person at all." Ne-Yo later went on The Breakfast Club and revealed that Beyonce only wrote the background harmonies for the track.
