Last week, tennis star Nick Kyrgios ended up beating Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon, but at a post match interview after his bout with Jiri Veseley, he jokingly blamed Toronto rapper Drake's music for his less-than-stellar start in the match:

"Today was a bit of rap, actually. I came out really flat, so hopefully I won't listen to that again. It was actually Drake. Yeah. Didn't do the job for me."

Drizzy didn't take kindly to the light jab at his craft and chose to air out Kyrgios over a conference call with reporters while preparing to host the 2014 ESPY's.

"I also want to meet this guy that says that he lost because he listened to my music. I also want to meet that guy and look him in the eye and see exactly who he is as a man and size him up and then chop him right down. Nick whatever-his-name-is – because he didn't win, so that's how he's going to be remembered: Nick whatever-his-name-is."

Nick then took to Twitter to clarify that he's a Drake fan and didn't actually blame the rapper for his poor performance. See the tweet above.

Did Drake blow the joke out of proportion? Sound off below.
