In an effort to spread awareness on the rising death toll in Israel's Gaza offensive, Dwight Howard made the mistake of tweeting about international affairs, unaware of the actual Israei-Gaza conflict.

According to Deadspin, a fan tweeted Dwight in hopes of getting him to raise awareness for the one hundred Palestinians killed in airstrikes on the Gaza strip.

"#FreePalestine" he tweeted.

Without having a clear understanding of either side of the crisis, Dwight quickly deleted his tweet and apologized to his fans.

"previous tweet was a mistake. I have never commented on international politics and never will." he said.

Check out his full apology above.
