Florida police are reporting that two University of Miami football players have admitted to raping a 17-year-old girl. The players have since been kicked off of the team, suspended from the university, and arrested.

Alex Figueroa and JaWand Blue, both linebackers, admitted to police that they purchased alcohol for the teen and performed sexual acts on the 17-year-old, who according to police reports was drugged prior to the attack.

University of Miami Director of Athletics, Blake James had the following to say about the incident:

"Any allegation of a sexual assault is extremely serious, and the University will not tolerate conduct that threatens the sanctity and safety of our students and our campus," he wrote. "We hold all of our students — especially student athletes — to the highest standards of moral conduct."
