Mya took to Instagram last week to dispel rumors that she and Jay Z had an affair at some point, saying she never did and never will go there with the Brooklyn boy. This led many to wonder why she would bring it up in the first place, as the rumor has been circulating for years. Her manager has just revealed that the DMV songstress received death threats and was even confronted by a fan face-to-face while at church about the alleged affair, which is what prompted her to explain the situation.
"Someone walked up and asked her about it while she was accepting an award at a church," her manager, Mike Killmon, told NY Daily News. "At first it was just ridiculous, but then some die-hard fans start making threats. She really couldn't care less about the rumors, but she wanted to set the record straight when the after-effects started to become troublesome."
