Using rhyme to teach kids the basics of the English language has been pretty standard throughout history, and in recent years, using Hip-Hop to do so has also become a pretty acceptable practice. So what happens when you take a classic Hip-Hop record and turn it into a nursery rhyme?

According to Argusleader, Warren G and Nate Dogg's "Regulate" has gotten the pre-k treatment, but only in terms of illustration. This one still isn't for the kids. Wes Eisenhauer will soon be releasing "Regulate: The Children's Book" to the masses but says he may not even read it to his own two-year-old daughter.

"I might not even read her the PG-version. It's a children's book in terms of the illustrations and style," he said. "But the content is very much not child appropriate."

The story will consist of Warren G's lyrics and tell the story verbatim, just like in his 1994 video, and Nate Dogg's character, in true children's book form, will be an actual dog.

You can see a few pages of the book in the gallery above.  Would you cop "Regulate: The Children's Book," for your kid or even for yourself? Sound off below.
