Australian anti-violence activist Talitha Stone claims to have received thousands of death and rape threats from fans of Tyler, the Creator and Snoop Dogg after she protested against the two rappers and even attempted to get them banned from her country altogether.

Stone claims the harassment started when she created a petition to have Tyler, The Creator denied a visa to enter Australia last year on the grounds that his music incites violence against women. Tyler himself took notice when she tweeted that he would be at a signing event in Sydney and suggested that the event organizers needed to be educated on what misogyny was. Tyler re-tweeted it and she claims in a matter of seconds her timeline began to fill up with threats from die-hard fans.

"They were saying things like they're going to grab me in the alleyway, that I need a good f***, that they're going to go for my family first. One said that they would hire someone to cut my t**s off."

She then attended a Tyler concert to "film more evidence of misogyny," when Tyler, not knowing she was in the crowd, went on a rant and dedicated his song, "B**** Suck D***" to her.

F***ing b****, I wish she could hear me call her a b****, too. Yeah, I got a sold-out show right now b****. Hey this f***ing song is dedicated to you, you f***ing c***.'

She reported him to the police, who said there was nothing they could do. She claims the abuse went on for months and she eventually met with two executives from Twitter, which led to the creation of the "Report Abuse" button on the site today.

More recently, she launched a petition to have Snoop Dogg's visa revoked and ban him from the country as well. This petition was also unsuccessful and while Snoop didn't directly engage with her, the onslaught of hate tweets was no different.
