Popular Atlanta stylist, Jojo has come forward to clear up dating rumors between her and her client, Young Thug.
She was recently linked to her client after the two posted suggested pictures of each other on their Instagram accounts. Jojo released a statement today about the matter and the embarrassment she felt from the rumors.
"The feeling you get when your family calls you with news that they saw a story on gossip blogs about me being an "industry jump off" is heart breaking," she said.
"At this point in my career I do understand people will make assumptions but no means will I let it slide. For the past few years I have styled from some pretty big name artists; yet today my whole career was jeopardized by a gossip blogs linking me to Young Thug as something other than stylist to the stars. I am sure that a lot of people don't understand the relationship between a stylist and their client, but I want to set it straight. My roster consists of Birdman, Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan and several other known models and artists; and I love my career and daily I grow. I worked hard to build my brand and I won't let a blog posting defame who I am. Young Thug is a client of mines that has become a close homie, nothing more nothing less. Some of the music industry artists and execs are truly my friends, we hang out and if you see me in the club I might be with one of my clients. I have a great relationship with all my clients (male or female), so before you start calling me all types of names, make sure you know I am JoJo The Stylist. As a business woman there is an approach that must be taken early on and I want those who have attacked my character to understand slander is illegal and can negatively impact my business. And in a climate where we are trying to put an end to cyber bullying and the NO RIP (reckless internet posting) campaign which I fully support, we must also hold media outlet accountable when they use derogatory and false allegations which brings about the same negative impact."
