Angie Martinez announced her resignation from Hot 97 to go to rival station Power 105.1, and celebs took the time to share their favorite story about the beloved radio host, including Just Blaze. The famed producer took to Twitter to speak about Angie helping him secure his first big check for a song for Eric Sermon's "React."

He said that Angie and DJ Enuff got their hands on the record and started playing it in heavy rotation. While the song was a certified banger, Just Blaze didn't give clearance for Eric to use the track, so the label knew they had to pony up the big bucks.

"This Angie move just brought back like 8000 memories. Might take it back to 2005 and start blogging again. Like the time she called me like "this Indian sounding record you did for Erick Sermon is crazy!" Had no idea what she was talking about. He took a beat I gave Redman 6 years earlier and rapped on it via a karaoke machine and sent it to the label, who in turn sent it to hot97. I was asleep in a hotel in LA and woke up to like 100 msgs on my Skytel lol."

He added, "Ang and Enuff blasted it crazy over and over. Radio ran with it and next thing I know J records is cutting me a check for 60k. Hilarious. That was my first big check for one record. The label knew they F'ed up putting out a record with no clearance from me so they were willing to pay whatever."
