Aaliyah's family thinks Lifetime should dust themselves off and try again when it comes to the biopic they are creating about Aaliyah starring 17-year-old Zendaya Coleman. The movie, entitled: "Aaliyah: Princess of R&B" is set to begin filming this summer.

According to TMZ, Aaliyah's uncle and former manager, Barry Hankerson, has expressed that Aaliyah's family is not happy about the fact that they were not contacted about the film. Hankerson and the rest of the family believe that Aaliyah's story is too big to not be shown on the big screen.

TMZ is also reporting that the family has hired an attorney and that they will not allow Lifetime to use Aaliyah's music in the film.

Aaliyah's family aren't the only ones making noise about the biopic; Twitter is also responding to the casting of Zendaya Coleman as the lead role. Scroll through the images above to see what everyone has to say about Zendaya portraying the late Aaliyah.
