New York Knicks' biggest star might leave the city for a possible deal with the Chicago Bulls or the Houston Rockets.

According to Yahoo, sources claim that Carmelo Anthony is waiting to hear back from the two teams about a salary cap before he makes his choice. The player had a meeting with Knicks officials on Friday which didn't change his mind about possibly leaving the team.

"His heart is in New York," the source said."But he wants a chance to win now."

Anthony has shown interest in the Bulls but with Houston's team comprised of James Harden and Dwight Howard, sources say Anthony would round out a superstar team. If he does decide to sign with the Rockets, the team would have to give up Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik.

The player plans to exit his contract, which planned to pay him $23 million for his final year.

Doing so would make him a free agent on July 1.
