Chief Keef's concert scheduled for today in Cicero has been canceled due to officials fearing that the rapper's appearance may spark a riot.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the manager of the venue, The Olympic Theater confirmed that the show was canceled on Wednesday, the day after he was evicted from his home. The venue manager also mentioned that Keef's promoters claim that they needed a bigger venue and canceled the show.

Cicero Police Supt. Bernard Harrison says that he talked with the venue manager himself and asked for the concert to be shut down.

"We have indications from intelligence sources that there were going to be problems and there have been many problems at his concerts in other places," Harrison said this morning. "I spoke to the director of the theater myself and asked if he could cancel the concert. He complied with my request."

Police also canceled plans for the rapper to move the event to the King of Diamonds strip club.

All tickets have been refunded by the venue.
