Just when you thought that people had come to terms with Blue Ivy's hair, a petition gets created calling for it to be combed and moisturized in order to "properly care for Blue Ivy hair." The petition was created on Change.org, and is seeking 1,000 signatures before it must be addressed by higher powers. So far, it has amassed 759 signatures, however those numbers are rapidly growing.
The petition was recently started by a woman by the name of Jasmine Toliver of Brooklyn, NY. She wrote a description explaining her reasoning for creating the petition, which mentions "the importance of hair care."
"As a woman who understands the importance of hair care," Ms. Toliver stated. "It's disturbing to watch a child suffering from the lack of hair moisture. The parents of Blue Ivy. Sean Carter AKA Jay-Z and Beyonce has failed at numerous attempts of doing Blue Ivy Hair. This matter has escalated to the child developing matted dreads and lint balls. Please let's get the word out to properly care for Blue Ivy hair."
Since the petition was made, and especially since it's already gotten over 700 supporters, many people have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the rather offensive movement. Check out the many mixed reactions to the "Comb her hair" petition, above.
For the record, Blue Ivy is a child, and doesn't, nor should she have to worry about her looks at her tender age. When the time is right, Beyonce and Jay Z will surely have Blue fresher than everyone else in her age group.
