Timbaland could potentially have to pay a whooping $500,000 after being hit with a serious lawsuit over the weekend. According to reports, the Grammy-winning producer has been accused by an Australian promoter of bailing out on a series of concerts in Australia and New Zealand back in 2008. The Australian promoter, Showtime, claims that Timbo was given $500,000 up front for the performances, but a month prior to the initial show he rescheduled the series of concerts to August dates, and never provided the promoter with a reason.

A few weeks later, after agreeing to perform in August, Showtime claims he found out Timbaland also scheduled a series of conflicting concerts in Finland as well. After finding out about the concert dates in Finland, Showtime contacted Timbo to cancel the show dates and ask for his money back, which eventually the producer refused to cough up.
