Everyone knows that Floyd Mayweather's love for money is deeply rooted; however, no one really knows how far he'd go to obtain his riches.
Almost everything that Floyd does is a calculated tactic to either boost his fanbase, the amount of haters he has, his wealth, or disrupt the mental state of his opponents. With that being said, his recent Instagram post is very odd and definitely left many of his followers scratching their heads pondering the many possible reasons behind his decision to post the picture.
Floyd uploaded a photo of all of the people, and things, that he is willing to die for. In the picture are his family members, which include his mother, his father, his children and himself. His uncle Roger is notably missing from the image, and in the background rests many overlapping pictures of $100 bills. On the upper region of both the right and left sides of the picture, is where the controversy lies.
Floyd is a known man of faith, as he has given praise to God for his many wins during his televised post-fight interviews, and yet, in this particular Instagram picture Floyd included two images of Satan, or a general demonic figure, in the background. The Satanic faces rest over the money as they flash their teeth and extend their long tongues out in the direction of the camera.
While many fans were outraged by the Devil images, it is possible that Floyd actually had a positive reason for including them in the picture. Maybe, just maybe, this was a symbolic portrayal of money being an agent of the Devil, and despite his love for making money, his family will always come first and is what truly matters. This is just a possible theory, however, and Floyd has yet to come forward and clarify the true meaning behind the picture.
