Tremaine Neverson, better known as R&B heartthrob Trey Songz, is finally able to move forward from a case that's been looming over him for the last two years.

In 2012, The singer was arrested for assault after throwing money at a woman's face in the club, causing substantial pain to her left eye. The Queen's D.A. office chose not to persecute Songz, but the alleged victim, Donna Enoe, still filed a civil lawsuit against the Virginia native.

Enoe claimed that Songz caused her "mental distress, blurred vision, severe mental and physical anguish, a contusion, scratched cornea and a black eye." She filed the suit against Songz for medical bills, future bills, and the loss of ability to continue her normal life.

Songz claimed Enoe was in his VIP section illegally and unauthorized, and due to her erratic behavior, had to be restrained by security.  He feels that now she's simply preying on his celebrity for a quick payout.

After pre-trial settlement talks, the case was quickly disposed, which according to TheJasmineBrand.com likely means Songz paid the woman in an effort to be done with the ordeal.

Should he have fought harder, or was this the right move to get things over with? Sound off below.
