Today, May 21st, would've been the 42nd birthday of Christopher Wallace, a.k.a. Biggie Smalls or The Notorious B.I.G., if he wasn't tragically gunned down on March 9th, 1997.  He is one of the true legends of Hip-Hop whose name always comes up when discussing potential candidates to wear the title of "G.O.A.T.," so his strong influence on the culture during such a short period of time is something that can never be forgotten.  Biggie's music still lives on today, and often plays at clubs, lounges, bars, and many other social events.

If he had not lost his life, there is no doubt that he would've continued to thrive and contribute greatly to the evolution of Hip-Hop and music as a whole, but since his life was cut short, we are only left with the ability to honor the legacy that he left behind.

Many celebrities and fans, both those who knew him and others who were indirectly influenced by him, have taken to Twitter to pay their respects on the birthday of one of Hip-Hop's greatest.

Check out the high level of praise that was sent out to honor Biggie's birthday in the slide above.
