A new photo of Zoe Saldana portraying Nina Simone has hit the Internet, and many fans aren't too happy with the result. Zoe has been receiving loads of backlash ever since it was announced that she would be taking on the role. Many people feel she doesn't remotely resemble Nina, and others have criticized her for being given the role due to her ethnic background, which is different from Nina's.
The new picture of Zoe Saldana as Nina Simone has only increased the criticism of the biopic, and spawned the hashtag #BlackBiopics on Twitter. Many users posted trolling jokes about potentially ridiculous casting roles for key members of Black history, such as Paul Giamatti playing the role of Martin Luther King Jr.
