As music festivals such as Coachella, Bonnaroo and Made In America have grown in popularity over recent years, it hasn't been the easiest time for everyone. "Paid Dues" festival, founded by rapper MURS and partners Guerilla Union, will be taking a hiatus this year due to financial problems for the latter.

This isn't the only recent cancellation, as last year saw a similar outcome for the New Jersey and D.C. stops for the wildly popular Rock The Bells concert due to poor ticket sales. Coincidentally, Rock The Bells is also partnered with Guerilla Union. Previous Paid Dues acts have included: Wu-Tang Clan, Mac Miller, Kendrick Lamar, Mos Def, De La Soul, Odd Future and Casey Veggies, just to name a few. In a statement you can read below, Murs aplogizes to fans and festival goers, promising to be back next year in full force to celebrate Paid Dues' 10-year-anniversary.

See his statement below and some pics of what else Murs has been up to.
