In an interview with MTV this week to talk about her film The Other Woman, Nicki Minaj switched gears and touched on coming full circle with her look, and if her music will follow suit. The singer says her days of sporting huge pink wigs and outrageous outfits are long gone. Now that she's had a chance to try many new things, she's decided the best form of shock would be to do nothing at all.

"I went so far to the other side that there's only one place to go from there," she said. "You can either continue doing costumes or you can just say, 'Hey guess what? This will shock them even more. Doing nothing will shock them even more.'"

She went on to say that many of her tracks on the upcoming The Pink Print are more hip hop than pop. With tracks like "Lookin A** N****" already in rotation, she says that the organic hip hop route wasn't planned.

"The tracks on [my next album] are back to my hip-hop roots," she said. " And I don't think it's something that I'm necessarily trying to do. As soon as I started working on my new album, that's just the songs that I've been writing,"

When asked if she would make a few of the songs similar to "Starships" and "Super Bass," the femcee said with assurance, "Hell no."
