Chris Brown will remain in jail until the summer, or possibly much longer, over his D.C assault case.

According to USA Today, the singer's lawyer Rob Kalunian requested that Brown be released from custody while awaiting trial over an incident involving Breezy and his bodyguard allegedly beating up a fan.

The judge denied the request because there were no changes that would excuse Brown from jail.

His bodyguard Christopher Hollosy was convicted of assault on Monday and plans to appeal the charges, causing a delay in the case.

Brown has a court date for his California case next week, but will not be present.
