Tough news for sizzurp lovers, as the popular codeine cough syrup Actavis is being taken off the market over its widespread reputation for being abused. A representative for the company spoke to TMZ, saying, "Given [recent media attention], Actavis has made the bold and unprecedented decision to cease all production and sales of its Promethazine Codeine product."
It's been rumored that Justin Bieber has an affinity for the drug, and Soulja Boy hasn't hid his love on Instagram, posting photos as recently as last week. The "Zan Wit That Lean" rapper shared a photo of six bottles of Actavis lined up on his counter with the caption, "Soulja got the juice. They say the streets dry. I say you gotta be kiddin me. I serve everybody."
TMZ also got wind of one famous, unidentified rapper paying his dealer $100,000 for whatever he has left of the stuff.
