Houston Astros Double-A team player Delino DeShields Jr., son of MLB star Delino DeShields, made headlines after getting smacked in the face with a 90 mph ball that broke his left cheek bone last Friday. He managed a conversation via text with TMZ, telling them that he's on the road to recovery now.

When asked what he's able to eat, Delino Jr. said that he's drinking a steady supply of Muscle Milk, which he imagines he'll be sick of in a few days. He added that his mouth wasn't sewn shut, so he's not eating through a straw, and can have solid food as long as it doesn't hurt to chew.

The injury transformed the left side of his face, as it swelled at least three times its normal size, but Delino says he's getting feeling back on that side of his face. He also says that he'll be back playing in a couple of weeks.
