Drake unintentionally set himself up to get utterly roasted when he decided to pose for a picture alongside UConn alumni Rip Hamilton while in the UConn locker room prior to their Championship game last night, Monday, April 7th. Drake has painted an image of himself as a major Kentucky fan, so after Rip posted the photo to his Instagram account, it was instantly over for Drake as fans took the opportunity to fire off shots at him for switching teams.
To make matters worse, a fan present at the game snapped a photo of Drake looking rather stressed as Kentucky was ultimately defeated by UConn. Many people took to Twitter to create loads of comical memes joking on Drake for switching his alliances, even though the picture of him in the UConn locker room was taken before the game. His song titles, such as "Started From The Bottom," and "No New Friends" were used in many of the memes, and the word "bangwagon" was thrown at him numerous times as well.
