Chris Brown has been moved from his Los Angeles jail cell by U.S Marshals for his case in Washington, D.C.

According to Yahoo Music, the "Loyal" singer is scheduled to go on trial for a misdemeanor charge. In October 2013, the singer and his bodyguard were accused of hitting a man outside of a hotel.

Marshals spokesperson Laura Vegas declined to say when he would be heading to Washington after his transfer.

The judge in Brown's case, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge James Brandlin, says that the singer's lawyers have been visiting their client "on an almost daily basis" at the Men's Central Jail in Los Angeles to prepare for the upcoming trial.

Brown was recently serving a month-long sentence after violating his probation last month.
