Compton rapper YG's debut album My Krazy Life features many collaborations, but one that has caught fans ears is "Really Be" featuring Kendrick Lamar. MTV spoke with YG on the collabo and how it came to be.

It turns out, the two had a mutual collection; Ali who engineered both K.Dot's 'good kid m.A.A.d City,' and YG's 'My Krazy Life.' The engineer and Kendrick listened to the album and the rapper picked 'Really B' as his favorite song.

"I recorded it up in Atlanta and I knew it sounded like a record Kendrick could get on," he said. "Kendrick told me that when it was time to put out my album he was gonna hop on one of my records. He wanted to hear the whole album, so we played him the whole album and then he heard that song and was like, 'I'm hopping on that, that's the best song on there."
