Turk is readying his new album, "Mission Possible," for the same release date as his fellow Hot Boy Lil Wayne, who's set to drop the final installment of his "Carter" albums. When asked about the situation, Turk told SOHH that it's a good idea for hip-hop.

"Somebody had tweeted and said, 'You and Lil Wayne are dropping on the same day.' I was like, 'Cool.' I think it's a good thing for hip-hop and all of the Hot Boys for us to drop the same day."

After suggesting that both albums compete on "106 & Park," Turk added, "I just feel like my album, Mission Possible, is strictly about my life and everything that I've been through. I just believe a lot of people are going to be able to relate and understand not just Hot Boy Turk but who Turk is. It's me. I'm giving them me."

The album has a projected release date set for May 5th, and has features from 2 Chainz, YG, and possibly other big names.

"If it's up to me, that's the day it's going to drop. It's a celebration for the fans and it's a celebration for my people. It's a celebration for me. It's me and Wayne. We're brothers and dropping on the same day. Shout-out to YMCMB and YNT."
