Along with an Oscar comes many opportunities most young actors don't see until they've been in the industry for years. Lucky for "It Girl" Lupita Nyong'o, she's got the talent to take on some pretty heavy roles, and she may soon take the lead in one of Hollywood's biggest franchises.

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the actress is in talks to play the female lead in the next Star Wars film. While she has already met with director J.J. Abrams, the details of the role are still unclear.

"Star Wars: Episode VII" has yet to officially set its cast, although several names have been thrown in the ring. According to MTV News, in talks for the male lead role are: "Friday Night Lights" star Jesse Plemons, "Attack the Block" star John Boyega, "Downton Abbey" actor Ed Speleers, and stage actors Matthew James Thomas and Ray Fisher. "Girls" star Adam Driver is almost a sure bet to play the villain.
