Shaq has a love for something other than basketball and it's in the palm of his hand.

According to TIME, in an interview with The Wall Street Journal the retired basketball player has a love for phone apps. Shaq told the paper that he's always been a geek at heart and spends about $1000 a week on games.

"I honestly spend about $1,000 on apps a week—real money. When I'm not working, I spend all my money on apps." That's roughly over $50,000 a year. 

He also mentions that he invest heavy in the tech world and really likes to play deer hunting games on his iPhone. Just last week Shaq bought 20 deer hunting games.

In addition to be a game lover, he recently picked up a stock in Google's pre-IPO.
