Fans of Gabrielle Union's starring role in BET's hit series, Being Mary Jane, can rest assured that she and the rest of the cast will be returning for a second season after the Season 1 finale boosted it to the No. 1 spot out of all of the new scripted TV series to come out this year. Tuesday's (February 25th) wild episode which was full of jaw-dropping drama, recorded over 5.8 million viewers tuning into the two-hour season finale.
The insane drama that occurred on the finale episode turned Twitter upside down and left loads of people and even some celebrity figures such as Chad Johnson, tweeting about the events that occurred. Many couldn't even believe how much drama took place while others were relating to it by trying to put themselves in the shoes of the various characters in order to figure out how they would react if they lived through these experiences.
This is a huge achievement for BET, for Being Mary Jane is it's first original scripted drama series, and it's already set records bringing in a huge viewer following already. The show which was created and executive produced by Mara Brock Akil and also executive produced and directed by Salim Akil, will surely bring Gabrielle Union back for even more nearly unbelievable drama in season two based off of the way season one ended.
