"Blurred Lines" singer Robin Thicke and his wife, actress Paula Patton, have announced that they are separating after eight years of marriage. The two stars met when they were only 14, and have been dating nearly ever since.
They sent out a joint statement, reading "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time."
Thicke raised speculation about his marriage last year after a photo surfaced of him cozied up to a blonde, and the reflection in the mirror behind them made it look as though he was grabbing her butt. The woman, Lana Scolaro, claims that Robin cheated on Paula, but he brushed off the talk by saying, "My only comment about the so-called scandalous photo would be that my wife and I are perfectly in love and very happily married. [We have] the greatest love of the century, and the most functional, dysfunctional marriage in Hollywood."
