Houston rapper Riff Raff wants to set the record straight. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, he states he is not a "comedy rapper" and that while he's not sure exactly when his debut album "Neon Icon" will drop, it will be on point.

"I'm not, like, 'comedy rapping,' I tried to keep on point as much as possible... This album is my best work, It's got my best tracks. I got features from the real artists and stuff."

Riff Raff also tweeted, "THiS NEON iCON ALBUM iS MY BEST WORK & iT HAS TO BE 790 TiMES BiGGER & BETTER THAN ANYTHiNG TO PROVE THAT iTS NOT A JOKE, SORRY FOR THE WAiT."

Riff Raff has been considered to be questionable by some folks in hip hop. Hot 97 program director Ebro Darden questioned the authenticity of Riff Raff's whole persona during an interview at the station last May, an exchange that has continued to divide the two, with several comments and twitter jabs being thrown between the two since.

Are you looking forward to "Neon Icon?"
