The rise of social media has certainly changed the way in which we work, play, interact. However, it has also changed some aspects of parenting. Instead of calling and pestering their children, parents are now using Facebook and other forms of social media to monitor their children and their activities. And in many regards they no longer stop when the children are 'old enough'. Evidently with parents now using Facebook they can track your every move even if you're technically an adult yourself.

Instead of resorting to traditional methods of punishment like being sent to your room, cut off from playing video games, or using your computer, parents instead embarrass their children on Facebook. Either by posting ridiculous things on their walls or replying to an inconspicuous post, parents will find a way to make you red in the face.

In the slide above you will find some examples of parents using Facebook to embarrass their children into submission. Check them out!
