The upcoming combined film of the Superman and Batman franchises has already been faced with a great amount of drama, as fans have continuously expressed their concerns in the casting choices. In the past, Twitter went into an uproar when talented and Oscar Award winning actor, writer, and director Ben Affleck, was cast as Batman. Now, it seems as though the new source for heavy Twitter slander is Jesse Eisenberg, who was cast as Superman's nemesis, Lex Luthor.
News broke today, January 31st, that Eisenberg would be playing the role, and fans of the ever popular franchise have been going in on Twitter reacting to the news. Many have chosen to dog the Oscar nominated actor, rather than show support in his acting chops to deliver a successful Lex Luthor role for the Superman and Batman fans' enjoyment.
Regardless of how the public feels, the end result comes down to how good the script is, and how well the actors can bring that script to life. The cast has some very good talent that has been proven time and again with countless film roles to all of the actor's benefits, so therefore, loyal fans of both the Batman and Superman franchises should remain hopeful that the final product will turn out to be a great one.
