It was recently revealed that ratings are down for "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," which could signal and ending for the family's reality show empire. However, there are other factors to consider, including Kim's popularity, which is continuing to soar after the birth of her child and engagement to Kanye West.

Forbes magazine's Dorothy Pomerantz put in to perspective what it would take to make the family go away, but with all their licensing on products it would be a difficult task.

"Everybody in this country has the power to make the Kardashians go away tomorrow. If they just didn't watch their shows and didn't buy anything that they associated with and didn't follow them on Twitter, they would lose all power. We are giving them power and this power is bringing them money."

The family signed a $30 million deal with E! in 2012 to keep the show going until 2015, and unless they demand a lot more money, or if ratings take a nosedive, things will stay the same. Nielson numbers dipped from 2012-2013, as the show brought in 2.4 million to it's previous 3.9 million.

The upcoming season will determine where the family will stand, but with Khloe's drama with Lamar and Kim's engagement to Kanye, it's likely that viewership will go up.
