It was reported that Adrien Broner was wanting to have a rematch with Marcos Maidana, the only man to defeat him as a professional. Ever since he lost to Maidana on December 14, Broner had been making it clear on Twitter that he would come back better than ever and have his revenge. Today, it looks like it is officially coming together.

Dan Rafael of ESPN.com reported that Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer has informed him that Broner has indeed picked up his contract option for a rematch with Maidana. Rafael also reported that Schaefer mentioned it will likely either happen on April 19 or April 26, and gave the StubHub Center in Carson, California and the Alamodome in San Antonio (where the first fight took place) as possible locations. Naturally, the fight will be televised by Showtime.

"My mind is set on war," Broner told ESPN.com on Friday. "I had a bad night. He was the better man that night, but he didn't beat me. He outhustled me. I respect everything. I respect him. But I'm ready to go back to war and get my belt back."

What are your thoughts on a Adrien Broner-Marcos Maidana rematch? Do you think Broner can recover from his Dec. 14th lose?
