Scarface is a legend, make no mistake about that. He's put in work with both the Geto Boys and as a solo artist. The Houston rapper is in a position as an elder statesman in the rap game and with that he is speaking out against whatever he sees fit. In a recent episode of The Combat Jack Show Scarface explained why he feels rap music has progressively gotten worse over time. According to the emcee, hip-hop is actually being dumbed down by those with the power. He has also made some controversial statements about white rappers, saying hip-hop is "so f**king White and so f**king Jewish."

Now Scarface is clarifying his position on these issues. In an interview with HipHopDX, the emcee spoke on some of the similarities between hip-hop, jazz and rock & roll, as well as believing that white rappers are presented as "smarter" than their black counterparts. Contrary to what many may believe, Scarface actually digs what white rappers are doing in hip-hop, and isn't against them whatsoever.

"I don't know why people try and make it seem like I'm against what the White boys is doing in Hip Hop. I dig that sh*t. At the same time, the f**king "boss man" make a ni**a look stupid and y'all look smarter. They'll make a ni**a look terrible and y'all look better. Don't do us like that. We f**kin' dope," Scarface exclaims.

He continues, mentioning black rappers he believes are great at their craft, as well as being disappointed that "cold" rappers aren't receiving their "shine". "You got muthaf**kas like Black Thought, Lupe Fiasco. [Lil Wayne] is dope. And there's ni**as that don't get a spotlight that's cold as f**k. It really disappoints me that they're trying to say that I'm against the White boys in Hip Hop. I'm not against the White boys in Hip Hop. That shit is f**kin' dope. But at the same time, "Big Boy" and them—whoever's running this sh*t—make us look dope, too. Don't make us look f**kin' stupid like we ain't got a junior high school education. Give a ni**a some shine that's dope."

When asked how to "change" the current landscape of one group looking "smarter" and the other looking "ignorant" Scarface says, "That's the image that they're portraying to the world, though. I don't give a f**k about what's happening here. We know what's happening here. But when you go to Sweden or Russia, they're looking at ni**as in Hip Hop like "What the f**k is this?" If they ain't hearing the dopest rappers that's coming out of the United States then they're hearing what's not dope. I would really like some muthaf**kas that are some real spitters to represent us abroad. Just give us a fair shake. I'll bet you any amount of money that the contracts read different, too. I'm serious, man."
