Mac Miller's had himself quite a nice 2013. While his latest ful length album "Watching Movies With the Sound Off" did well both critically and commercially, he was also able to lend his flow on some other tracks, most notably on Action Bronson's "Twin Peugeots," which made our list of Best Guest Verses of 2013. Mac is one of the rising stars in the current era of hip-hop, which he personally feels is doing well.

"Artists right now are making some of my favorite music in Hip Hop that's ever been made," Miller said in an interview with thestar.com. "I think that in many years this year will be looked back on as a very special time and there hasn't been anything that as a movement has been as big as this since the quote-unquote Golden Age."

Mac Miller believes the current state of hip-hop is flourishing because rappers inspiring one another.

"Everyone's albums are incredible and I think it's because the bar gets raised and people just want to do something special," Miller said. "No one wants to let anybody outdo them."
